They stay in place. All the time.

Key Consumer insight: Women wear different bras when they go to rec parks & boobs need to stay in place.

Another reason I love marketing, and the English.

Shout out to @jakehimself for postin the vid.

Sympatico & MSN Getting a Divorce: the honeymoon is over.

Rumors of the MSN/Sympatico Divorce.

So apparently the rumored MSN Sympatico divorce is official.
Just like John & Kate (plus 8) MSN and Sympatico will become 2 separate legal entities. MSN.ca will be a Microsoft owned and operated site, and Sympatico.ca will become the domain name of choice for the ISP.

And just like John & Kate, MSN and Sympatico will still be sharing responsibilities for the traffic (read: kids). That is to say, that there is still shared custody. For both the traffic and sales children of this marriage.

From a comScore numbers game, we can expect a larger change – but that’s to be expected (look at Mytelus out in western Canada and you’ll see what I’m talking about for #s on a massive ISP like Telus).

Overall, it’s something we all heard about – but it’s how its being done that’s amazing.

A few commonly asked questions I got when I sent an email to my coworkers:

Q: Who are John & Kate? - Melody
A: I will not dignify that with an answer. She’s leaving him, the evil bitch! He’s a good father. That’s all I’m saying. But if you’d like to find out more, I’d recommend using Microsoft’s newest search engine called Bing, which was never really part of Sympatico’s offering – and has always been serviced by MSN. (Also note that I don’t actually watch the show, but my commentary is more reflective of bloggers across the world, as it was trending extremely high in twitter and Bing searches early last week – so yeah. She’s evil).

Q: When will the custody battle occur? – Lily
A: If by custody you’re referring to traffic, we’ll see once the switch occurs as the papers are signed (on Wednesday). MSN.ca will be the new signout for Hotmail and Sympatico Internet Users (ISP subscribers) will have their web Browsers point to Sympatico.ca so expect comScore to be the judge of those babies.

Q: What of the “special” children? - Nora
A: This is going to be amazing, as by “special” children, we mean special campaigns. Remember how it was always impossible to get Sympatico/MSN to approve cool Homepage Executions, or cool vertical takeovers/executions – well, now that Microsoft is out of the picture, Sympatico can dress herself however she wants. That’s right everyone, our little ISP is single and about to start going to town with her formats and her high priced executions. Welcome to the single life Sympatico – time to go out and accept campaigns from anyone who can pay the price (take that metaphor however you want).

So take that interweb marriage - let's see how divorce goes for you.
And Remember - it takes a village to raise a child, but comscore will forever be the judge of how they're raised.

Razorfish comments on the future of TV - Screen Based Entertainment

Razorfish is a digital media agency which publishes yearly reports which practically predict the future of online/digital.

Their 2008 report was pretty accurate – almost to the letter.
Their 2009 report is looking really good too – you might want to see the link

Here’s Razorfish’s conference which occurred today – and was completely full from what I’ve read in the blogs.

The talk consists of studies Razorfish conducted – some about digital natives, non-digital natives like kids, families…
http://www.canneslions.com/lions/lightbox.cfm?media_id=700&height=530&width=820

Its kindof long – but you seriously need to take a look.

The future is amazing – and it’s not that far off from what you’d think…

Cheers,
P2

Google Wave Highlights

Note - this entire article is pretty much a running commentary of vids that I stole from the pages of LifeHacker.

Ok, so Google wave is in Beta testing, and geeks like me around the world are getting excited thinking of the humanesque functionality of it all.

My personal fav being the As You Type functionality of Wave seen here

Pretty nutso.

Another sick feature is the Revision Playback - for those of you who love the "track changes" option word gives you - here's the equivalent of the biggest revolution for the online world.

Again, this is the stuff we all functionally dream of, but don't have the smarts to do on our own.

So if you're looking to scope out all of the functionalities of Google Wave - be sure to checkout their full 80 minute video (here)
