GΣΣKS VS NERDS

So this one time, over Chez Cora's breakfast-for-lunch specials in Montreal, Cat and Paolo decided they'd create a blog. (The idea was born of eggs-over-easy and what they are pretty sure is the most awesome french-toast brioche ever.)

Cat had been talking about how nerdy they'd become about their professional careers, and Paolo noticed how being a nerd was in-fact, kind of rewarding. They noticed how nerds were leading some of the biggest projects in business forward across the world.

But they still found they didn't fit in with nerds.

Something wasn't right. They weren't isolated in their basements or offices, neither of them addicted to gaming consoles or computers, and far too social to ever speak the words Magic the Gathering in public - despite having played a short few months between the two of them in elementary school.

Nerd was not the right word. They had too many vices- like food, style, technology and Jack Daniels.
They then realized we were geeks. Modern Day Geeks.

Techie.Creative. Passionate. Stylish.

From iAd executions to Louis Vuitton luggage ads - they had a vested interest in the modern world around them, and needed a space to play in.

Moderndaygeeks.com was then born.

Since then, Anna and Matt have joined in on the fun.

The four MDGers share thoughts on media, communications, advertising, tech, and all things modern day geeky.

These are their personal views and do not reflect those of the companies they work for.
